Acceptance of Terms
By using SpeedFox at speedfox.site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site. Since there's no account or sign-up, using the site is how you accept these terms, there's no separate action to take.
The Service
SpeedFox is a free, browser-based tool that measures your internet connection's download speed, upload speed, ping, and jitter, and provides educational content about internet performance. It requires no account and stores your test history only in your own browser's local storage. Full detail on how measurements are taken is on the Methodology page.
No Guarantee of Accuracy
Speed test results reflect a snapshot of your connection's performance to a specific test server at a specific moment, affected by factors outside our control: your Wi-Fi, other devices on your network, your ISP's local conditions, and your device's own performance. Results are provided "as is" for informational purposes and are not a guarantee, certification, or warranty of your actual internet service. We do not warrant that results will be uninterrupted, error-free, or identical to results from any other speed test tool.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to run tests at a volume intended to disrupt the service or distort the public usage counter.
- Attempt to interfere with, gain unauthorized access to, or reverse-engineer the underlying test infrastructure or API endpoints beyond normal browser use of the site.
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that violates the rights of others.
Advertising
SpeedFox may display advertisements served by Google AdSense and its advertising partners to support the free operation of the site. See the Privacy Policy for how advertising cookies and data are handled, and how to opt out of personalized ads.
Limitation of Liability
SpeedFox is provided free of charge, without warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any decision made, or action taken (such as an ISP dispute, hardware purchase, or plan change), based on results from this site, or for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the site.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the service changes. Material changes will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
